Στις αρχές Οκτώβρη είχα πάει στο δάσος Περτουλίου ψάχνοντας για Τρελομανίταρα (Amanita muscaria) χωρίς επιτυχία. Αυτήν την φορά κατάφερα να βρω μερικά κοντά σε έναν δασικό δρόμο.

Χαρακτηριστική και γνώριμη σε όλους μας μορφή μανιταριού, ίσως η πρώτη εικόνα που μας έρχεται στο νου όταν ακούμε την λέξη μανιτάρι. Ίσως όχι άδικα μιας και το εν λόγω είδος κατέχει πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο στην εθνομυκητολογία πολλών λαών. Αυτό το γεγονός έχει να κάνει με τις παραισθήσεις που προκαλεί αν καταναλωθεί. Στο βιβλίο του Δημήτρη Κελτεμνίδη «Τα μανιτάρια του βουνού και του κάμπου» αναφέρεται η εξής ιστορία : κατά τον Ελληνο-Γερμανικό πόλεμο μια διμοιρία Ελασιτών έφαγε τα συγκεκριμένα μανιτάρια και άρχισαν να έχουν παραισθήσεις. Βλέπανε ο ένας τον άλλον ως αντίπαλο, πολεμούσαν με φανταστικούς εχθρούς, ενώ δυο από αυτούς αιχμαλωτίστηκαν από τους Γερμανούς όταν έκαναν μια φανταστική επίθεση εναντίον τους!
Πραγματικά φανταστικό το τι ουσίες μπορεί να παρασκευάσει η φύση!

Early this October I have been searching in the forest of Pertouli for fly amanitas (Amanita muscaria) but with no success. This time I managed to find a few near a dirty road.

Characteristic and known form of a mushroom to everybody, probably it is the first thing that comes up to our minds when we hear the word “mushroom”. A not without a reason while this mushroom played an important role in the culture of many countries. This has to do with the fact that it causes illusions if consumed. In the book of Dimitris Keltmnidis “The mushrooms of the mountain and the plain” the following story is referred: during the Greek-German war a group of Greek troops consumed some fly amanitas and they started having illusions. The considered each other as enemies, the fought with fantastic enemies and two of them tried to do a fantastic attack against the Germans and they where captured…
It is quite amazing what kind of substances nature can create!
